The Spark: An Ode to Life
Through this book of poems, I wanted to express the dynamic mystery that is existence, as well as the innate essence of life that we each carry in us as human beings, and show how language can be a medium for pure desire, as well as the desired. Through this book, with verses that flow like dance and rhythms that silently echo as music, my wish is to bring the above to life, and to highlight a sense of magic upon you, the reader.
The title, The Spark: An Ode to Life, accentuates both the wild and calm nature of fire, and the words written on each page are like sparks ignited, celebrating creativity and possibility.
Upon these lines I strive to linger for moments upon the edge of the cliff, and then soar someplace within myself. Come, fly with me.

The Skylark
This is a collection of Haiku poems with watercolour illustrations manifested with the heartfelt plea that as one we can regain the balance of nature.
‘What if there is no bird song?’
Then it’s too late. We haven’t listened and we haven’t acted.
‘Greed feeds corruption
A continual circle
Corruption feeds greed
Disorder then chaos
As everything will dissolve Into entropy.’

The Shadow of the Poppy
Within the ranks of a beleaguered army, hearts and thoughts turn towards home. A whole generation of young men, torn asunder by ravages of war, tormented by what would become known as the ‘Devil’s Breath’. From the rats that scampered around the dying, to the machines of steel trampling everything under their rolling treads, to the flying bullets and double-edged bayonets, the barbed-wire fencing and blood-curdling screams, ‘no man’s land’ became representative of hell.
As the demons of war raged around them, many a young man sat with a pen between their shaking fingers to write their fears: their desperation over a life that was fading…£3.50 -
The Pursuit of Love
Andrew Giuliano Lo Russo spent the majority of his life pondering the mysteries of his deepest emotions. Without any outlet to express himself, he slowly found comfort in using painting and music as a method of exploration. Although these mediums were useful, it wasn’t until he began writing down his thoughts that he was able to fully grasp the idea that part of the mystique behind these mysteries were connected to his longing for love and acceptance. Whether or not this exploration will result in a solution is not the reasoning behind his writings, but rather, it’s simply an emotional outburst which he believes many of us also battle with. In the end, the poems in this collection offer comfort to those who share similar questions about their own place in the universe.

The Poems of Prince Neverbudge
One summer’s day whilst holding my Grandad’s hand
The Three Graces behind us
Laughter and seagulls above
We watched the sunset
Over The River Mersey.
I was four years of age and it was the day
That I first heard of Prince Neverbudge!
A Prince, who is believed to have sailed The Seven Seas
Enlightening and entertaining all who crossed his path
Those ashore and at sea
He cast his spell upon them all!
Many years later
Whilst looking out towards
The Adriatic Sea
Prince Neverbudge appeared!
It was the day just like today where
He continues to leave me spellbound!
What follows, is magic!
A collection of poems sure to
entertain, enlighten and keep the
reader enraptured until the very
last page.
Poignant and moving, fresh and eclectic
For any lover of poetry and adventure.
Why wait? When, Prince Neverbudge awaits!£3.50 -

The Ocean’s Depths
I loved you.
My all, I gave to you
But It was an assumption.
I assumed you wanted my all,
My love, my protection, my flaws.
I gave blindly to a blind love.
Wondering why I got burnt
By a flame you never lit.
Cautiously entering the flames
Of love – alight with the spark from within.
My flames will keep me warm.
I no longer need yours.
A collection of poems about the journey of love, lust and loss.£3.50 -

The Mystery of Us
A collection of poems that explores the most ancient of questions: is there a reason for my existence, or am I just an artefact of nature? The animal of us is very clear, but our consciousness appears to be an enigma: a Darwinian survival tool par excellence, but its sense of self leads to feelings of despair and countless fears.
We appear to possess a religious sense that leads us to reach for ideals such as communes, or communism, with frequent violent fervour, as well as religious cults, and organized religion per se – raising the question, why? The poems explore these questions.
Science has been miraculous in its rapid growth and influence in our present culture, to the point of it becoming like religion itself, answering questions of cosmology and affecting human identity and longevity. This raises questions of morality, which underscores the importance of our recognizing our underlying animal nature and never underestimating its influence in even the best of us. The poems address this.
